Our optometrist is specially trained in the treatment of eye disease. With years of experience along with the latest instrumentation, we can promptly diagnose and treat ocular health conditions. Dr. West is experienced and certified in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular conditions.

Some of the Ocular Conditions we Diagnose and Treat are:

  • Amblyopia or "Lazy Eye" where one eye usually is weaker than the other.
  • Astigmatism is blurred vision at all distance caused by an irregular cornea.
  • Cataracts are a clouding of the eye's natural lens behind the iris and the pupil.
  • Computer Eye Strain is associated with excessive use of computers.
  • Diplopia or "Double Vision" caused by any condition, including a stroke.
  • Dry Eye Syndrome where eyes have insufficient tears to properly lubricate the eyes.
  • Glaucoma where a damage to the optic nerve that diminishes the field of vision.
  • Hyperopia or "Farsighted" people can see fine from a distance, but not up close.
  • Low Vision is severe loss of vision, partial blindness or blindness.
  • Myopia or "Nearsighted" people can see fine up close, but far away.
  • Peripheral Vision Loss or "Tunnel vision" can have various causes, including glaucoma.
  • Presbyopia caused by normal age-related loss of focusing ability noticeable after age 40.
